Florence and the Machine or Florence + the Machine is a British indie rock band, led by vocalist Florence Welch and also formed by members Isabella Summers, Tom Monger, Robert Ackroyd, Christopher Lloyd Hayden, Mark Saunders and Rusty Bradshaw.
The band's debut album, titled Lungs, was released on 6 July 2009 and was a huge commercial success in England.
