Maroon 5 is an American pop and rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. It consists of members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick.
After signing a contract with Reprise Records, they released an album entitled The Fourth World in 1997. Soon after, they signed with a new label, Octone Records, and released their first official album titled Songs About Jane in June 2002.
