Shawn Mendes, whose real name is Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, was born in Pickring, Ontario Canada on August 8, 1998. He is a Canadian singer, songwriter and model.
His success started in 2013 after posting several song covers on the video sharing app Vine. In 2014, he caught the attention of art manager Andrew Gertler and Island Records talent scout Ziggy Chareton, which led to him signing a deal with the label.
