Sublime

Sublime was a genre-defying band from Long Beach, California, whose explosive blend of ska, punk, reggae, and alternative rock made them one of the most beloved acts of the 1990s. Formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson, and drummer Bud Gaugh, the trio forged a raw, sun-soaked sound that captured the restless spirit of Southern California street life. Self-releasing their early recordings with a fierce DIY attitude, Sublime built a devoted underground following before their major-label debut became a cultural phenomenon. Their self-titled 1996 album — featuring iconic tracks like *What I Got*, *Santeria*, and *Wrong Way* — cemented their place in rock history. Tragically, Bradley Nowell passed away just two months before the album's release, leaving behind a legacy that only grew more powerful with time. Sublime's music remains timeless — infectious, honest, and emotionally resonant — continuing to introduce the band to new generations of fans who find something deeply personal in their sound.
